About Us
Bells for Wells began in 2006, when jewelry artist Christy Rodman attended a Jars of Clay concert, and heard about the band's commitment to build 1000 wells in 1000 of the poorest villages in Africa. Inspired by their organization Blood:Water Mission, Christy began making jingle bell earrings to sell at Christmas to help sponsor a well.
By word of mouth alone, Bells for Wells raised $700 in its first month of existence. In 2007 sales doubled, for a total donation of $1,417. This year, beginning in October, and running through December, we hope to raise well over $3,000 (the average cost of one well). That's 375 pairs of earrings, and every pair counts. Please help spread the word, and join us in helping those who desperately need our help.
Our Mission: To glorify God by creatively combining our talents, resources, passions & abilities to help care for those in need, and to inspire others to do the same.
Our Vision: To see churches, governments, organizations, and individuals embrace tangible means to fulfill one of the two greatest commands ever given: Love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:29-31)
